CONCORD, N.C. —
One lane of Interstate 85 in Concord will be closed for paving on Saturday. The work is part of the construction to widen the interstate in Cabarrus County. Starting at 10 a.m. the left lane of Interstate 85 South near George Liles parkway will be shut down. The Department of Transportation said the work has to be done during the day so it will be warm enough to apply the asphalt mix. The construction there is expected to take roughly three hours.
