CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
A group of North Carolinians is on its way to Washington, D.C,. to see the president's inauguration.
Eyewitness News was there as 100 people loaded two buses Saturday morning.
Various Martin Luther King committees from around the state joined together for the trip.
Even though it was an early morning, they are all excited to be a part of the historic moment.
The group will tour the new MLK memorial on the National Mall and be there for the president's public inauguration Monday.
