WATAUGA COUNTY, N.C. —

Watauga County students will have to give up some of their teacher work days because of all the snow that has hit them this winter.

March 21 and March 22 are now regular school days.

District leaders said that protects students from having make-up days during their spring break.

There have been 15 snow days so far this year in the county.

Despite the calendar showing the middle of March, snow fell again Wednesday morning in Boone.

Snow showers are expected on and off throughout the day.  About an inch had fallen by late morning.

There wasn’t much accumulation, but enough to make some roads slick.
