CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
Two Charlotte-area communities are getting hundreds of thousands of dollars to bring manufacturing jobs back to the Carolinas. This is the very first round of funding from a new project by President Barack Obama's administration. The goal is to help boost manufacturing companies across the country. Centralina Council of Governments, in Charlotte, is getting $200,000. Burke County is also getting $163,000. Burke County is also getting money for its Carolina Textile District.
