Petraeus to testify in front of Congress on Friday

CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

For the first time since Monday, Eyewitness News saw someone go inside the Dilworth home of the woman suspected of having an affair with former CIA director David Petraeus.

The two people who showed up at Paula Broadwell's home were in and out quickly. The pair spent about 30 minutes inside the house.

The man was carrying a sweatshirt and the woman had a black shopping bag filled with stuff as they left. They didn't say anything as they got into their vehicle.

The woman is a family friend. It's unclear who the man is.

This was the first activity Eyewitness News has seen at the home since Monday, when FBI agents took several boxes and computers from the home.

The big concern in this scandal involving Broadwell, who lives in Charlotte, and Petraeus is national security.

Petraeus told a reporter Thursday that Broadwell did not get any documents from him.

However, FBI agents thought the information was so vital, it was investigated by the U.S. Attorney General and reported to top members in President Barack Obama's administration.

Petraeus will testify in front of Congress on Friday, for the first time since the scandal, on another big security issue -- the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi.

Petraeus said despite the criticism he's received about the September attack, he told a reporter Thursday the only reason he suddenly resigned was his affair with Broadwell.
