ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. —
North Carolina flags will fly at half-staff in honor of a state trooper killed on duty over the weekend.Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning in Rocky Mount for Bobby Demuth.He was hit and killed by a driver Saturday on Interstate 85 in Nash County as he tried to put out stop sticks to stop that driver.Another state trooper is in critical condition after being hit during a traffic stop in Madison County Tuesday.Matt Mitchell was hit on Highway 19 at Crooked Creek Road, near the town of Mars Hill.He is being treated at Mission Hospital in Asheville.
