ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. —
North Carolina flags will fly at half-staff in honor of a state trooper killed on duty over the weekend.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning in Rocky Mount for Bobby Demuth.
He was hit and killed by a driver Saturday on Interstate 85 in Nash County as he tried to put out stop sticks to stop that driver.
Another state trooper is in critical condition after being hit during a traffic stop in Madison County Tuesday.
Matt Mitchell was hit on Highway 19 at Crooked Creek Road, near the town of Mars Hill.
He is being treated at Mission Hospital in Asheville.
