3 saved after canoe flips in cold, rushing water

ASHEVILLE, N.C. —

Three people were saved from cold, rushing water, and it was all thanks to witnesses who noticed something out of the ordinary.

The witnesses were driving by French Broad River near Asheville when they noticed two women floating down the river.

It turned out that their canoe had overturned on the river.

The witnesses were able to pull the two women to safety.

When firefighters arrived, they found a teen in the water.
