McDUFFIE COUNTY, GA. —
A plane crash killed five people in Georgia Wednesday night.
The McDuffie County sheriff said the small jet may have hit some power lines as it tried to take off from the town of Thompson.
Seven people were aboard. Five people died and two others were hurt.
The crash happened just before 9 p.m.
The aircraft is registered to a Delaware-based company, but so far the passengers have not been identified.
