Another Carnival cruise ship in trouble near Tampa

TAMPA —

Another Carnival cruise ship is in trouble as it tries to get back to port in Tampa.

The company said a technical issue has slowed the Carnival Legends progress.

In the statement, a spokesperson for Carnival says each person will be getting a $100 credit and a full refund on pre-purchased shore excursions for Grand Cayman, since the determination has been made to head back to Tampa without making that stop.

On Thursday, the Carnival Dream was stuck at a dock in St. Maartin dealing with its own issues.

All of this comes just days after the CEO of Carnival said the company is in the process of a comprehensive review of its entire fleet following the issue with the Carnival Triumph just last month.

While the Carnival Legend slowly makes its way back to port, the cruise line is forced to figure out how to compensate thousands of passengers inconvenienced by the trouble.

Channel 9 has learned that passengers will be receiving 50 percent off a future carnival cruise.  Also something offered to guests aboard the Dream Thursday.
