A beautiful day with plenty of sunshine is ahead for Charlotteans.
Severe Weather Team 9 chief meteorologist Steve Udelson said gorgeous weather will continue Saturday. Friday night football will see temperatures close to 60. Saturday will see temperatures in the mid-80s.
The dry weather will stick around through the weekend, with just a slight chance for some showers Sunday in the mountains. Udelson said it's the driest it's been since May.
The heat and humidity will build Sunday, with highs in the upper 80s. Udelson said there is a 20 percent change of rain.
Rain chances will remain slim into next week.
Udelson said tropical depression 8 formed Friday afternoon in the far western Gulf along the Mexican coast, but there will be no effect here.
