CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

A Charlotte business owner hopes his latest venture will offer teens a safe option for getting home.

Andrew Horsey is a parent and started the business "Got To Go."

Parents pay a monthly fee and get a special phone number to give their teen. If that child finds him or herself in a bad situation but doesn't want to call home, he or she can text the number and get a ride from a licensed and bonded driver.

"This is for the good kid that realizes they've got themselves in a bad situation and they want out," Horsey said.

Horsey said this is not a designated driving service and said teens can only use it three times a year before the price goes up and parents are notified.
