CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

A California man is no longer a delegate at the Democratic National Convention after an incident involving two delegates at an uptown hotel.

The staff at the Blake Hotel said one of the men was drunk and disruptive.

The man was asked to leave the hotel and to avoid participating in any convention-related activities, according to a statement from the California Democratic Party.

Officials said the man was not arrested.  His name was not released.

Hotel staff noticed the other delegate appeared to be unconscious and immediately called paramedics for assistance. The second delegate was taken to a local hospital. He has since recovered and has been released, the California Democratic Party representative said.
