PINEVILLE, N.C. —
Police are still looking for two men they say stole a car with a young child in the back seat.
Police in Pineville said no security cameras captured the incident, making it tough to identify the men they're looking for.
On Tuesday night, Sherill Morris called 911 after she said two men drove off in her car after she went into a Pineville restaurant to pick up take-out food, leaving her son in the car.

She told Eyewitness News as soon as she walked in, she saw her headlights move.
"I wasn't even in there for a minute," Morris said. "Literally."
Morris told 911 dispatchers which way the car went.
Listen to 911 call:
Officers set up a perimeter, and one chose to drive to the nearby Carolina Place Mall. That's where they found the car with the boy safe inside.
"I suspect that when they found there was a 2-year-old in the back, they ditched the car here at the mall," Pineville Police Chief Rob Merchant said.
The whole situation lasted just a few minutes, but felt much longer to Morris. With her son safe and smiling, she was grateful for the quick police work.
"I want to thank the police because they found him within a few minutes, so they did a good job," Morris said.
Officers said Morris could face charges.
"Our main goal is not to prosecute her at this time," Lt. Corey Copley said. "We're still keeping our options open."
Police said they will contact Social Services about the incident.
