CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

City leaders and business owners will get a better idea about uptown Charlotte’s economic growth over the last year.

The information will help developers and business owners plan for future changes to the city.

Charlotte Center City Partners is calling Thursday night’s event the “State of the City.”

Business leaders and developers will look at growth trends in recent years and also be able to plan ahead.

The event’s focus will be on Charlotte’s central business district, SouthEnd and parts of midtown.

The presentations will highlight information about trends in areas such as economic development, office, residential and retail space.

In addition to looking at infrastructure, they will also be looking at the workforce and qualifications of people who live in those areas.

This is Center City Partners third annual report, but the first time they have held an event to announce it.
