CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
Members of Charlotte's St. Paul Baptist Church will ring in 2013 by providing meals to less fortunate children. The church is celebrating watch night. Monday night is the 150th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation. Watch night is when many gathered to watch if it would take effect. This year, organizers are teaming up with the Kids Against Hunger Initiative. Their goal is to pack 100,000 meals that will feed 300 children for one year. The meals will help children in Haiti and Nicaragua.
