Charlotte company fined following deadly workplace accident

CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

The city's occupational safety and health division has fined a Charlotte company as of Tuesday, following a deadly workplace accident.

In August, a contractor was trying to move an electrical cabinet when he was killed on Forsyth Park Drive.

A second worker was injured.

The labor department said Pro-Pac International, Inc. has two serious violations and fined it $2,000 dollars.
