CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
With the last week of summer, the Charlotte area is in for up-and-down temperatures.After Monday's high in the middle 80s, the Charlotte area will go down to 70-degree weather for the next several afternoons.Severe Weather Center 9 is tracking a cold front that will drop Monday night.There are a few showers associated with the cold front, but the rain chances will remain pretty meager on Monday evening.The cool weather will change back to a warmer pattern by the end of the week.One of the better rain chances that the Charlotte area has seen in some time may be emerging by the weekend.Right now, Severe Weather Center 9 is tracking thunderstorms for both Saturday and Sunday.
