HICKORY, N.C. —

City officials and community leaders in Hickory will look at building a special tree house in the Zahra Baker Memorial Playground.

Mayor Rudy Wright is backing the idea to create a wheelchair-accessible tree house in a large tree that overlooks the area.

Volunteers helped build the playground last May.

The playground is in memory of 10-year-old Zahra Baker, who was killed by her stepmother.
