CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
Charlotte Mecklenburg police said the city’s 2012 homicide rate was its lowest in 24 years.
Channel 9 confirmed through a public information officer that there were 52 homicides in the city in 2012.
Thirteen of those remain unsolved.
Channel 9 will be asking police why they think the numbers have dropped.
