CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded to a crash Friday involving a pedestrian in the 10700 block of Steele Creek Road, according to a news release. The pedestrian, Melvin Givens, was walking across Steele Creek Road near the intersection of Branch Bend Lane when he was struck by a 2007 Kia driven by Milton Dennis Sayers.
