CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police is investigating a fatal wreck on West Boulevard near Ross Avenue.

Police said Johnny Tisdale was struck and killed by a vehicle around 8:46 p.m. Thursday.

West Boulevard was closed after the wreck.

Police said the driver of the vehicle remained on the scene and was interviewed.

Police have not said if the driver will face any charges.

People in the neighborhood were shocked to hear of the tragedy that happened right on their street.
