On Tuesday, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools announced it will have new leadership in human resources and communications, and the district's executive structure will be reorganized under a plan put forward by Superintendent Heath E. Morrison.
The shifts follow three independent audits commissioned by Morrison shortly after his arrival in July and will be effective Dec. 1.
Kelly W. Gwaltney will become chief human resources officer and Kathryn D. Block will become chief communications officer.
The overall reorganization has also resulted in reshaping some positions.
An assistant superintendent for community partnerships and family engagement will be filled by LaTarzja Henry, currently executive director of communications.
