UNION COUNTY, N.C. —
A Union County wrestling coach has been accused of showing pornography to middle school students.
Joshua MacDonald denied the accusations Monday afternoon, but said little else.
Macdonald was a volunteer coach for the Marvin Ridge Middle School wrestling team.
Deputies said MacDonald was driving five students to a match last month when he took out his phone, and showed them naked pictures of women.
"You keep asking the same questions and I'm going to keep answering it the same way," Macdonald said. "I told you what happened, just like I told them: I didn’t do it. So now I have to try and prove myself in court, I guess. That's it. That's all I have to say."
A Union County School district spokeswoman said MacDonald has been a volunteer since 2009, and passed a background check.
He is no longer eligible to be a volunteer.
