CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
It hardly feels like August, but for the second straight day temperatures are hovering around 80 degrees as clouds have rolled in Thursday afternoon.Things will stay dry through the night.After that periods of rain will roll in from south to north toward Friday morning and continuing through Sunday.The best chance for rain through Friday night is from Charlotte southward and over the weekend the chances remain the same.No thunderstorms are expected through Sunday.The summer heat will return next week with highs in the upper 80s and a return of a few evening storms.
