CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

Charlotte City Coucilman Andy Dulin will be in Raleigh Tuesday explaining to lawmakers the details of a plan to study the possible impact an airport authority would have on the city.

For weeks, city officials have been asking lawmakers in Raleigh to hold off passing a bill that would transfer control of the airport form the city to an appointed board.

The City Council voted unanimously Monday to move forward to spend up to $150,000 on a stud to look at the possible impact.

Mayor Anthony Foxx and council members say there are too many questions to answer before moving forward.

Lawmakers could still pass the bill into law while the study is going on, something Dulin acknowledged is a concern Monday, but regardless it will be good to have more information on the possible impact.

"This study on the airport, city control versus authority control, pros and cons, it will be good for the community whether it moves forward or not," said Councilman Dulin.

Dulin could not say how much the study will cost.
