Crimestoppers offers $ for info on slashing

Crimestoppers is offering a reward up to $1,000 for any information leading to the arrest of a man who slashed 32-year-old Lindsay Wood's neck Wednesday night.

Police say Wood just came home from church when an unknown man ran up to her and cut the right side of her neck.

After the attack, Wood told Shelby Police officers at the scene she read bible verses to her attacker for at least an hour, even inviting him to her church.

Shelby Police Capt. Lisa Green said it's important to close this case as soon as possible.The suspect is described as a lightskinned man, clean shaven and in his late teens or early 20s. He was also described as wearing slip-on shoes with "diamonds," Green said.

A representative from Cleveland Regional Medical Center said a "Lindsay Wood" wasn't a patient at the hospital Friday morning.
