Dash cam video released of Ted Vick’s DUI arrest

COLUMBIA, S.C. —

The dash cam video from the night a state lawmaker from Chesterfield County was pulled over for DUI has been released.

The video shows officers pulling over Rep. Ted Vick in Columbia last month and having him step out of his truck.

Police said he was unsteady on his feet. They also found a pistol in his pocket that had an expired permit.

A 21-year-old University of South Carolina student was with Vick at the time of his arrest. She told officers he was driving her home after they met while drinking at a bar.

After the arrest, Vick dropped out of the race for the 7th District, but his name remained on the ballot.
