CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
Commissioners are expected to discuss a controversial decision made in Raleigh that could cost Mecklenburg County $3 million. The state asked an outside company to run the county's Medicaid program. Mecklenburg County already had spent millions and hired 130 people to do the job. The county asked state leaders to reverse their decision, but they refused. On Tuesday, the county manager plans to update county commissioners and give them their options at their board meeting.
