Delays end, preschool starts in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

Following two weeks of delays, hundreds of preschool students started class in Charlotte Wednesday.

Earlier this month, Bethlehem Center couldn’t open its prekindergarten program at Tryon Hills because it had yet to get state approval.

Officials with the group said they spent the summer getting the building up to code but couldn’t get the approval in time.

Classes started Wednesday morning.
