Investigators said someone opened fire at the home on Branch Road in Lylesville before 3 a.m. "I'm shocked, I really am shocked," said family friend Vivian Williams. The relationship between the victims is unknown, though Pressley lived at the house. Myles lived about 20 minutes away in Polkton. Neighbors were surprised by all the commotion. "(I) looked and I saw them flashing the blue lights, so I don't know, I thought they may have gotten behind somebody and followed them up this road," said one neighbor. Detectives haven't released a motive but they said they believe the shooter and the two victims had been partying together before the shooting. "They had been somewhere else prior to this and had come on over here to continue their partying," said Anson County Sheriff Tommy Allen. Myles' family members said she had three children and the youngest is 13 months old. The entire family is devastated. "Definitely praying and I know the rest of the neighbors are praying with me," said Williams. Pressley is in critical condition at Carolinas Medical Center – Main. The sheriff's office interviewed a person of interest in the shooting, but no one has been arrested.
