MOORESVILLE, N.C. —

Mooresville Police are looking for a man that robbed the First Citizen’s Bank on Medical Park Drive Friday afternoon.

The suspect entered the bank at about 5:49 p.m. and demanded money from the teller while displaying a handgun.

An undetermined amount of cash was given to the suspect, along with a dye pack.

When Eyewitness News arrived on scene, we saw caution tape in the parking lot surrounding the remains of a dye pack that exploded as the suspect tried to flee the scene.

Surveillance photos from the bank show that he wore a dark jacket with the word “security” on the front and back.

The suspect is described as a black male, between 5 foot 8 inches and 5 foot 11 inches tall with a medium build.

Police describe the suspect’s vehicle as a silver sports car, possibly a Hyundai or a Lexus. The tag had a blue line across the top.

The suspect was last seen driving north on Highway 21.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Ashley Patrick at 704-658-9029.
