CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
A brief lockdown has been lifted at David Cox Elementary School in north Charlotte.
The school, which is on David Cox Road, was placed on lockdown around 10:45 a.m. after a custodian reported possibly seeing a man near campus with a gun, officials said.
Classes still continued, and the school was placed on lockdown as a precaution, officials said. It was lifted around noon.
Police said they did not find anyone in the area.
