UNION COUNTY, N.C. —
The fight over how to police a town in Union County is moving forward Saturday.
Indian Trail called a special meeting to discuss its contract with the sheriff's office.
The contract expires in July.
The sheriff thinks the town knew that he wouldn't approve it.
So instead they are trying to push their own police department.
Anyone who wants to go the meeting is invited to attend.
The meeting starts at 4 p.m. and will be at the town hall on Navajo Trail.
