People in York County can now add beer to their grocery lists on Sundays.
Sunday was the first day of beer and wine could be sold at convenience stores and grocery stores in the county.
Back in November, 65 percent of voters said they wanted the change.
Signs could be seen all over Rock Hill stores trying to drum up some extra sales, but customers said it is too early to tell what the extra day will bring.
“It’s still relatively new, so you know, it’s one of those things that you have to take slowly and keep an eye on, because you know, it is an extra day where people are going to be able to buy alcohol and even drink,” said customer Orlando Vereen.
In Lancaster County, restaurants can now start serving alcohol on Sundays.
