GASTONIA, N.C. —

A Gaston County food pantry is closing its doors temporarily because it can't keep up with demand.

Bread Incorporated in Gastonia will shut down for more than a week next month to replenish its empty shelves.

Second Harvest in Charlotte said recent tax changes and the rising cost of fuel and food are forcing more families to turn to food pantries.
