NORTH CAROLINA —

Former North Carolina governor Mike Easley wants his law license back.

On Tuesday, Easley's attorney filed a petition with the state bar to have his license reinstated.

It was suspended after a campaign finance-related felony conviction in 2010.

The two-term Democrat's petition said Easley has complied with bar rules and has not broken any laws during the suspension period.
