CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
Brilliant sunshine will kick off Friday, but the day will end with a chance for storms.The storms will be scattered with brief but heavy downpours. No more flooding is expected.More storms are likely on Saturday, especially in the afternoon. The main threats will be heavy downpours and lightning, but no real severe weather is expected.Rain and storms will taper off Saturday night.Great weather returns in time for Mother’s Day Sunday.Drier and cooler weather will return for the majority of next week.
