CHESTER COUNTY, S.C. —
A Chester County girl is expected to be OK after she was shot in a freak accident.Deputies said the 8-year-old was in the kitchen of her stepfather’s three-story home on Windy Hill Lane Wednesday night. When the man’s rifle went off upstairs, the bullet went thought the floor and shot her in the shoulder.“She’s eight years old. Bless her heart,” said Sheriff Richard Smith. “The best thing we can do, altogether, is to just pray for her, and make sure she’s going to be all right.”An investigation is underway, but no charges have been filed.
