CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
A Mecklenburg County grand jury has indicted the teenager involved in a deadly accident on Sharon Road West.Grand jurors indicted 18-year-old Uriel Flores on two counts of involuntary manslaughter Monday.Police said Flores appeared to be racing 19-year-old Shanquise Bush as the two drove down Sharon Road West on Sept. 18.Witnesses said Bush and Flores were speeding and that Flores’ truck crossed into Bush’s lane and that she overcorrected and slammed into a power pole.Bush and a 3-year-old boy died in the accident.Flores’ family said it does not believe he caused the accident, because his car never made contact with Bush’s car.
