CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
Heavy rain is forecasted to move through the area Saturday night and through the first half of Sunday. Rain inched closer to the area Saturday afternoon and precipitation arrived Saturday night. The main threat from the system will be very heavy rain, most of the heaviest falling Saturday night. Flooding is not expected to be a big issue, although some areas will get more than 1 inch of rain. The system is a fast mover and the area will start to dry out by Sunday afternoon and there may be some clearing late in the day.
