CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

Hollywood A-list celebrities will descend on Charlotte next week during the Democratic National Convention.

The Foo Fighters, Tony Bennett, Common, the B-52s and Pitbull are among the musical acts that will take the stage at the NC Music Factory.

Owner Noah Lazes said celebrity all-star rock band, Camp Freddy, will kick things off Monday.

"I think Monday night any professional musicians who are in town will be on that stage jamming," Lazes said.

Actress Jessica Alba will host a private party later in the week, and Entourage star Adrian Grenier will attend events.

Lazes said Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and Ben Affleck are also rumored to be making appearances.

Many uptown venues will also close their doors to host private parties, like eatery Vappiano.

Amos' South End will host invite-only parties three nights next week, with musical ensemble the Roots to perform Monday.

The Roots, and other celebrities, will also frequent after parties at the South End art shop, the Elder Gallery.

Owner Larry Elder said FBI agents swept the building Thursday, before a planned VIP reception honoring Bo Biden, the son of Vice President Joe Biden.

"Never in my wildest dreams did I think we would have high-level politicians and celebrities coming to my little gallery. It's quite a thrill," Elder said.

Elder is also displaying portraits of the Obamas created by artists from all over the United States and he said they will be for sale during the week's parties.
