CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

Troopers told Eyewitness News that a minivan ran into the back of a tractor trailer, bounced off a guardrail and hit the median.

The driver of the van, 37-year-old Tanya Curtis, now faces charges for reckless driving and driving on a suspended license.

Curtis told troopers that she veered off the side of the interstate near the Griffith Street exit in Davidson.

Officers said she was airlifted from the scene, but seemed to be in good shape despite having to be cut out of the van.
