Investigators ask for help finding driver in fatal hit-and-run crash

YORK, S.C. —

Officials are asking for the public’s help in identifying the driver who they said struck a pedestrian in York County and then left the scene.

The fatal crash happened around 3:30 a.m. on July 7 on New Street, near South Congress Street in York.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the South Carolina Highway Patrol at 803-385-3107 or 1-800-768-1504, or Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
