LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. —
Thieves are targeting riding lawn mowers and power tools in a recent rash of thefts, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office said.
Most of the thefts have happened during the daytime, while homeowners are away, investigators said.
Seven riding lawn mowers have been reported stolen in western Lincoln County since April. Thieves are also taking other power equipment, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Anyone who sees something suspicious at a home or business should call 911, investigators said. They ask that anyone with information about the thefts call the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office at 704-736-8856 or call Crime Stoppers at 704-736-8909.
