MONROE, N.C. —
A jury came back with a guilty verdict on Thursday for the suspect in the 2010 shooting and robbery of a Monroe couple outside a license plate office.
Otis Redding Howie Jr. was convicted of two counts of attempted first-degree murder, two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, larceny of a firearm, possession of a firearm by a felon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.
The victim, Crystal Jordan, sat calmly as the verdict was being read. She and her husband, Robbie, were shot in the incident.
