LINCOLNTON, N.C. —
The Lincolnton City Council decided to drop its investigation into alleged gifts the city manager received.
Council members told Eyewitness News they didn't want to base the investigation involving manager Jeff Emory on an anonymous letter.
The letter claims he illegally received free corporate tickets from a company that works on water lines for the city.
Emory did not want to comment to Eyewitness News about the case.
