The next sneaker craze has begun and will come to fruition Saturday morning.

Shoppers spent Friday night camped out in front of shoe stores, anxious to get their hands on the newest in exclusive footwear.

For some, they have been waiting in line for a week for the new Air Yeezy 2’s, a shoe designed by Kanye West, to go one sale.

On eBay, the shoes are already being sold for thousands of dollars. The shoes will sell for $250 in stores.

The shoes are the next chapter in an athletic shoe crazy fueled by the popularity of music artists and athletes.

In December, crowds trampled each other trying to buy new Air Jordans.

In a huge contrast, PJ Haynes said the sale for Saturday seems low key.

“I see this release going a little different,” Haynes said.

He said he and his friends will definitely be some of the first people in the Queen City to own the new shoes.

They said they are taking shifts so they can get food and still protect their places in line.

The group of fans said they plan to keep the shoes, not sell them.
