ASHEVILLE, N.C. —
A Hollywood movie being filmed in the North Carolina mountains is underway.Crews have already shot some scenes in small towns near Asheville in Buncombe County.“The World Made Straight” is about a Civil War massacre that happened in the area.Even though it stars some big names, the producer said locals are playing a strong supporting role.“I think people have been really accommodating. I mean, it’s the south. What can I say? Everybody’s just been wonderful,” said producer Todd Laborowski.The movie stars Haley Joel Osment and Noah Wyle.It is based on a novel written by a Western Carolina University professor.
