Man killed in fire called hero after saving 5 children
WEAVERVILLE, N.C. —
A man is being called a hero after he died while saving five children from a burning home.
Witnesses said the Weaverville home exploded Saturday morning. Weaverville is near Asheville.
The man got all the children out safely.
Friends think he went back inside to save the family’s pets when he died.
