CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
Advocates with the United 4 the Dream and the Latin American Coalition led a march Saturday in Uptown Charlotte.
The reason behind the march is to reveal the impact of deportation on families in Charlotte. It started at Marshall Park and ended at Trade and Tryon streets.
The organizations stated in a release that nearly a quarter of deportations between July 1, 2010, and Sept. 30, 2012 – nearly 204,810 – involved parents with children who are U.S. citizens.
